New Tisty 1.25.1 is out

Software out of conviction, not subscription.

Desktop apps that fit how you work instead of getting in your way. Your data on your disk or in your cloud, your call. No telemetry, no accounts, no subscriptions.

  • Local
  • No telemetry
  • Open source
  • Free, really

The apps

Three small tools. Each one came from an annoyance of my own.

Tisty

Windows · macOS · AGPL-3.0

Notes, documents and tasks. The record of what you learned solving them.

A task list forgets the moment you tick the box. Six months later the same problem comes back and all that is left is knowing you solved it once, somehow.

LinkUnbound

Windows · macOS · GPL-3.0-only

Choose which browser opens every link.

A link from Teams opens in Edge. One from Slack lands wherever Windows decided last. You keep three browsers and four profiles, and nobody asks you which one you meant.

CopyPaste

Windows · macOS · GPL-3.0

Everything you copied, still there.

You copied an address ten minutes ago and then copied something else. It is gone, and the only way back is to go and find it again.

Principles

How they are built

Your data, where you say
What they keep are your files, on your machine. Want them synced? You put that folder wherever you choose: nobody does it for you.
Nothing to collect
No telemetry, no analytics, no identifiers. I do not know how many people use them, and that is the point.
Open all the way
The source is published in full, with its licence. You can read what it does before taking this page at its word.
Free with no strings
No paid tier, no features waiting behind a wall. There is no company to feed.

Don't take my word for it

Check it in the source.

Anyone can read whether there is telemetry, whether anything leaves the machine, or what gets written to disk. That is the guarantee, not this page.

What does it cost?

Nothing, and that is usually the hard part to believe.
